Diet Turkey Burgers Recipe 1 pound ground turkey 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped 1 stalk celery, finely chopped 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce, home made or purchased (sugar free for low carb) 1 teaspoon hot sauce 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Preheat electric tabletop grill or outdoor grill. Simply combine everything, and form the mixture into three burgers. Toss them onto the grill, cook for five minutes and serve. Serves 3. Diet Mushroom Turkey Burgers Recipe 1 package (16 oz. size) frozen ground turkey, thawed 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon onion salt 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 4 hamburger buns, split MIX turkey, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and onion salt in large bowl. Shape into 4 (4-inch) patties; set aside. MELT butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add mushrooms; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until tender. Remove mushrooms from skillet; cover to keep warm. Diet Caribbean Turkey Burgers w/Honey, Pineapple Chutney Recipe 1 ripe fresh pineapple, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices 1 large onion, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick 1/3 cup honey 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon grated orange peel 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced 1 package (20-ounce size) extra-lean ground turkey 1 1/2 teaspoon Jamaican jerk seasoning 4 Hawaiian sweet sandwich rolls or potato hamburger buns, toasted Butter-lettuce leaves To make the chutney: Grill pineapple and onions on lightly oiled grill for about 5 minutes per side over medium-high heat or until lightly charred; remove and let cool slightly. Discard tough pineapple core. Finely chop pineapple and onion and place in a medium saucepan with honey, vinegar, orange peel, ginger and allspice; stir well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes. Add bell pepper and cook for 10 minutes more; let cool.
